Furling line replacement

Time to replace the furling line for my jib on a profurl drum furler. The specs call for 8mm or 5/16" Dacron braid. I cant seem to locate Dacron braid sold by the foot. Any suggestions?
Would New England Stay Set or Samson LS polyester be a good substitute? I prefer to have a line that doesn't stretch excessively, but also has good flexibility and good feel as I usually furl by hand without a winch unless its really blowing.

I use 3/8" NER Stay Set. Stretch is not an issue on a furler line. Others use more expensive braid and decore, I've never felt the need. ProFurl LCI 32.

Dacron is the trademark name for polyester cloth. Dacron rope is made from polyester yarns.

Yeah, Stay Set works well and has the necessary UV resistance for a line that lays on deck all season long. I use 3/8" for good hand.

Sta-Set is a go-to polyester double braid rope. Even though it is moderately priced, there are less expensive options out there. Samson LS Yacht Braid is available on this site's chandlery. Novabraid, available from www.sailcare.com is another, but the last time I looked, www.cajunrope.com had the least expensive polyester double braid. I bought some 3/16" LS Yacht Braid to use for my jib downhaul, and I found it to be a looser weave than Sta-Set. It is nicely flexible, but that makes it a bit more prone to tangles and hockles. I think they use paired yarns to braid the cover, whereas NER uses individual yarns to braid the cover on Sta-Set. For a furler drum, probably anything would work fine.

As Usual, I learned something new. I knew that Dacron was used extensively in sail cloth; however, I didn't know that is comprised of polyester fibers/yarns. Think that I will use the 3/8" for the handling characteristics, I just need to check that using 3/8" instead of 5/16" won't overload the drum space. Will probably go with Sta-Set.

I had mine replaced by the OEM when I did a bearing rework last year. I had just bought a new line,
but I was surprised when the OEM returned the drum spooled with line. The line looks "oiled" and slick.
You line experts my know the type.
I like it because it spools nicely without a "rope" memory.
