Furling gear problem

Our Hunder 410 jib furling gear track sections separated: the top section became separated from the bottom 2/3. How are the sections connected - simple bolt, or are there special parts that I will have to order. Have an appointment with a boat yard to put it, in the water, under a travel lift on Friday, hoping that it's just a simple fix. Thanks, Ken

Profurl?

If I remember correctly, there is an extrusion that fits between sections, that attaches with an allen head set screw. Had the same problem a few years ago, and the rigger at the yard said it was caused by too little forestay tension. When the jib fills, if there is too much sag, it separates the sections. Sounded logical to me. Hope this helps.

Once you get it fixed, you'll be able to sail all day in a heavy wind on just the jib. Did that yesterday in 20-30 mph winds, for 6 hours. The rigging was tested and found sturdy.
