Funny what you find on your boat

So I'm fishing cable from the stern to the Raymarine X5 computer and decide to remove the two wood panels at the back of the quarterberth...what do I find?...a HUGE hole in the quadrant compartment directing cockpit water into the interior. Looks like someone took a hammer to it. Guess I now know why the P.O. attempted to caulk the quadrant cover AND why I always have a wet bilge.

Is that black mold growing around that hole, or is that burn marks around the hole?
Perhaps something actually burned through the fiberglass there?

...nope, that would be your basic slime...does look like a burn in that pic...guess Ihave some fiberglass repairs coming up.
