I haven't seen any yet, Paul, but it is an enticing idea. Heading south to the ICW from New England, I was blue from the cold, and green with jealousy when the Canadians with full enclosures motored by, sipping on their coffee in their shirtsleeves, while I shivered, wearing everything I owned.

Looking for ideas for a DIYer or a fabricator?
I LOVE our full enclosure, did them ourselves but it was just a copy the existing curtans type affair. If you are interested in a DIY let me know and I'll opine on construction and planning.

would love to have an enclosure on my dolphin 23, but since I trailer her, I think it would be too much trouble to install and remove each time I take her out

Looks like they did a pretty simple add to the existing canvas... I showed it to my local shop, and he said they could make up the panels for $60 each.. about $700 total...

Wow - oh WOW... I had three canvas shops here in WI quote a full enclosed unit from scratch. (using my existing fame mind you) the lowest cost bid (and seeing some work he did it was low cost) was $7,300.00. The range from there is $8,170.00 and $9,600.00. A full job for $900.00 I could almost afford to ship the boat to them and back and still be money ahead ha ha.
Other issue here at least is lead time. Most people quoted 3-4 months to get the job done, so I had to laugh at the video above...

I think the $900 cost must be a DIY and just materials. It's like that for dinghy chaps too. Do them yourself for $700 of material or pay $7K plus for a professional.

Full enclosure would have been nice in the states. Now I just want some more rain protection. We are thinking of making some side curtains that would tie to the lifelines just to get us a little rain protection and a shade curtain for the stern. The afternoon sun can be brutal in the cockpit even with the bimini up and connector in.

There used to be a couple of C310s listed on Yacht World that full enclosures. You might want to look there for some ideas too.

I'd love to see what you come up with Paul, you always have good designs.
