I need to buy a new mainsaild. I am considering full battens for the new sail. I have been told that the full battens are nice but the slides could present a proble. Should I go fo it, and if so what should I look out for?
I have a full batten main, although my Hunter is only a 25. Before I purchased it I borrowed one from a friend to see if there was a difference and whether or not it was worth the extra expense. I found that it was. I've only had it for six months but I've been very happy with it and haven't had any problems whatsoever. So see if you can borrow one and try it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I'm certainly not.
