Hello again
We want to relocate the fuel valve, for any easier access closer to the helm ( current location is under the stair, right in front of the engine)
We are wondering what kind of valve is suitable for this as ours is really old, being gas we don’t want any issues.
Are they gas specific or just any decent valves?

That is good.
A consideration that might be important. How will you shut off the engine's fuel supply if you are in the cabin and the valve is in the cockpit?

Be certain the valve is marine-rated and meets the ABYC standard for gasoline.

I know hoses have a specific rating (A1). Not sure about a valve.

Here is my two cents worth regarding the type of valves to have in a fuel system. I have been doing Marine Plumbing since 1988. What I can tell you is that Valves from Forespar and Tru-Design do pass the USCG fire test. "BUT"..... because there is always a but, if you were to ever get your boat inspected by the Coast Guard, the inspector is going to want to see metal valves and fittings thru out you entire fuel system.

Ok, great info, thank you.
Yes I do intend to install a new metal valve, made for gasoline.
I really do not want my boat to go up In flames
