I would like to install inspection plates in the top of my fuel tank 2006 45cc which is located under the aft bed. Does anyone know
1. Does the tank have baffles
2. Are the located for/aft or abeam
3. Where exactly are they located (dimensions)
4. Any source for DIY plates

Does the tank have baffles
As ice breaker has mentioned, your tank is most likely polyethylene. The baffles can be located using a laser pointer (looks like a ballpoint pen) if they're still available. Shine it around and the baffle will show. Best done in the dark but they can be found. Don't know why you'd want to install inspection plates on the tank but I would strongly advise against it. Diesel is not easily sealed with a gasket on a thin plastic top.

Keep your fuel treated with a biocide and you won't need to inspect the interior of the tank. What you might want to do is to sample some fuel off the bottom of the tank every other year. This will do it safely as the flange is sealed with Permatex #2 which is about the only thing that will stick to poly. The 3/8" pipe plug is sealed with teflon tape and Permatex #2. Teflon tape does not do a good job of sealing against petroleum fuels. Use a Pela vacuum pump to extract a sample.
