I removed the fuel tank from my H33-1982. After disconnecting all the hoses and tie down strap,and draining the tank. I moved the tank underneath the cockpit seat hatch. I then had to a cut about 1 inch off of the filler tube and it came right out.
The reason for removing the tank was to get years of nasty looking sediment out. The boat had been sitting on the hard for seven years. I took the tank to a wielding shop where it was cut in half, cleaned out and wielded back together. It was reinstallled and motor runs fine. Cost $00.00 (wielder was a friend).
