Removed engine to replace mounts and while at it also removed tank for cleaning. The wood frame holding the tanks was rotted and I need to build a new frame. Does anyone have plans or has done this job?

Thanks,

Steve

Is the existing one too rotted to use as a template? Or to get the general fit then tune it up based on actual fitment?

Even the rotted plywood mast step for my fiberglass GP14 was intact enough for me to mark out a new one, and then I did a bit of trimming and planing here and there to get the new one to fit in the boat...

Probably could use old one but seems to me that it was not the original one and was poorly designed. I'd like to do better and I'm thinking that the one that o'day had fit better.

Have you talked to Rudi up in MA or John at Appenaug Harbor Marine in RI? Either might have a suggestion.

We used an off the shelf Moeller 19 gal tank. Did away with the wood and put 2 aluminum angle irons across the bilge. and strapped the tank down to them.
