I have a Hunter 290. The fuel gauge has shown F since I purchased the boat earlier this season. Now, suddenly it shows empty. I added 5gal diesel but no change in the gauge. all of the other gauges on the boat are working. My presumption that there is either an electrical issue with the gauge itself or with the sending unit. how is the best way to access the unit???

Don't remember where tank is on 290 but look here in search for help
testing gauge or sender.
I usually look in a book or ask on internet how to test both with meter.
