Fuel range for C30 with M25-XP

We're about to make the trip back to the yard. It's roughly a 38 mile trip. We're expecting 2' seas and light winds on a reach. Estimating 5-7 hours of travel. I found @Stu Jackson's fuel log for his C34 with an estimated, conservative, fuel usage at 1/2 gallon per hour. Now begs the question... How big is the fuel tank on the C30? I'm really strapped for time before this trip so I probably wont be able to look at the label on the tank.

40 nm @ 4 knots = 10 hours

10 hours = 5 gallons at 0.5 gph

No way you run out (if you have a relatively full tank) only motoring 7 hours…that is like 3-4 gallons of fuel at most.

But bring a Jerry can just in case!

Don’t you hate haul out time?

Thank you for the info and your fuel log. I just did a quick road navigation that loosely followed the shore. 38 is a high estimate. Nautical miles will be less as it'll be closer to a straight line.

I'm a member of the group but I prefer asking questions here. I get better answers and I know everyone much better on this forum

I'd be sailing into December if I could! The tank is 3/4 of the way full. The fuel dock has very limited hours. The PO overfilled the tank for our maiden voyage. The needle didn't move at all on the trip to the marina
Now is the time to be glad you did not get bamboozled into electric propulsion.
This is true! Otherwise, I think it's perfect for daysailors

Raise the sails and go for the gold.
Chicago is forecasting 9 knots with gust at 16 on Saturday. Sunday is even better.
