I want to check the screen in the fuel pickup tube. How do you remove this. I can see the gas line going to the top of the fuel tank but when i tried to loosen the screw that is closest to the tank it didnt seem to move too much, I dont want to break anything. It almost looks like there are two screws??? THanks

Just blow it

I had clogged filters. Couldn't remove the fuel pick-up line from the tank without possibly breaking the fitting. I removed theline at the filter and blew threw the fuel line to blow out anything that might be on the pickup screen. [ I don't think there is a screen, as I could readily siphon fuel threw the line with a very good flow] My fuel was bad enough that I had to change filters twice in one day. Also the fuel pickup does not go to the bottom of the tank, so I removed the fuel fill hose and healed the boat over to that side by tying the halyard to the dock and winching it over. I then inserted a hose in the fill inlet at the tank and pumped it dry.
