Do you turn off the fuel line if you are going to be away from your boat for the work week. Do you ever turn it off. Do you close the raw water valve at anytime. I'm afraid I will forget to turn it back on.

Thru Hulls - On or off

Rick, If you get in the habbit of closing the thru hulls (all of them) as the last thing you do before leaving, and as the firt thing upon arriving opening them, you will remember to do it -- every time. IMHO -- Each time you leave one open, you risk failure and sinking. Paul

Fuel no, water inlet yes

We always close the sea-water intake whenever we leave the boat (and leave the ignition key on the valve, as does everyone else I know). That way, it's virtually impossible not to remember to open it since you have to get the keys when you want to start the engine. On the other hand, we never close the fuel line.
