I Am A Newbe and recently bought a 84 Hunter 31. I moved the boat Friday from Frog mortor creek to Rock Creek. We had motored for about an hour after the fog lifted we began to get Good wind and sailed most of the way. We were moving pretty well and stirred things up a bit. I decided to motor once we got to rock creek. Motored for about 15 mins. when the engine RPM's slow to a halt. I had plenty of fuel but I noticed there is a squeeze bulb in the fuel line and this was flat as a pancake. I opened the glass fuel filter and drained same also did same with a filter on the engine. the squeeze bulb was now open or full again I gave it a few pumps and filled the Glass filter I then opened a screw on top of the on engine filter and squeezed the bulb again and got fuel out of that. She cranks over with plenty of guesto but will not start. Might I have air in the line? How do you check for an air lock? God only knows how old the fuel is. I was going to drain the tank once I got it into my slip. Fuel line blues.
