I am preparing to install new diesel fuel lines in my 1985 Hunter 25.5, and am not sure if I should be using Type A or Type B fuel hose. The guy at West Marine wasn't sure which hose i should use, so I have stalled on this project. Any help would be appreciated.

Take one of the old ones with you. They are usually stamped somewhere on the line.
