Hello,
I'm hoping someone out there in Vega land can help me. I'm changing
the fuel lines on my MD6A from clear vinyl to 1/4" fuel hose. Sounds
easy, but, the connectors to the original metal fuel hose that Volvo
supplied are un-joinable. These hoses lead to the fuel pump in the
engine, and lead off for the fuel return to the tank. They are
attached with banjo fittings at the engine, and at the hose end,
there is a female fitting, and then a connector, two males, the outer
one was described by the local guy as "some unknown thread, a weird
swedish thing" that he cannot match to anything that has a hose barb
on the end to attach my hose to. The original clear vinyl hose had
compression fittings on it. My other option is to change the entire
hose, up to the banjo fitting, an expensive operation I am told. So
if anyone out there has done this, or has a clue where I could find
these mystery connectors, I would appreciate it.
Regards,
Christine Carter
