Suspect this topic has been covered somewhere in the Forum, but has anyone replaced their R12 Fuel Fliter with Racor 500 Series, and if so where did you locate the new filter in the boat? Space being an issue.

Every boat is different, so hard to advise on where to find room.
As a general rule place where you can easily inspect the bowl and drain if necessary, also where you can replace filter and top up to ease bleeding.
I placed ours inside the engine hatch in the engine compartment, but also have seen them in lockers between tank and engine.
