going from memory
I have the instructions on how to change the fuel filters all typed up, along with the shop manual for the RC8. Unfortunately, its on the boat and I will not be there for another 3 weeks. From memory, though, this is what you do: You have two filters: a primary and a secondary - the first you clean in alcohol and the second you replace. So, from the top: shut off the fuel valve//remove the nut on the bottom of the primary (hold a coolwhip tub under it)//use a wrench to take off the top and take out the filter and clean it in alcohol//reassemble. For the secondary: Remove the bolt on the bottom and drop the filter bowl out (again, a coolwhip bowl is handy here)//replace the paper filter and the gasket//reassemble loosely. Now the awkward part: open the fuel valve and pump the little manual fuel pump that is WAY back there about 100 times (this takes forever)until you get fuel at the secondary//tighten her up. I do it every season, and knock on wood the little one lunger keeps on going!
