Fuel Filter Bracket

I searched the forums with no success. I seem to recall this has happened before to others.

The bracket that my spin on fuel filter mounts on the engine broke. It looks like I could make one out of a small piece of angle iron. Or, is this a bad idea and I should look on Torrenson for a replacement?

Ray, there was a recall years ago for this item. See if Westerbeke or Universal will honor it.
