Fuel Fill

The fuel fill on my 1980 33 is in the bottom of the cockpit. Does that bother anyone but me?? Has anyone re-routed the fuel fill to the deck or somewhere away from the cockpit floor?

Of course I have

I've felt it could well be a source of water in my fuel. So far haven't had time to move it. I did however put a slightly oversised o-ring on the cap which seems to help. I'm still deciding where I want to move the filler to. Wherever it is it wkll be a vertical surface so water and grit won't sit on it and work their way in. I'll post in Photo Forum when it gets done.
