The other day a friend of mine asked me what the fuel consumption was on my 1990 passage 42' at 3,000 rpm's. I didn't have an answer for him as I have never really paid attention to this. Any suggestions?
On or 94 P-42 (Hull # 156) we used appox. 3/4 to 1 gal. per hr. over the course of each season. This however included the generator. For caulcations I used 3/4 gal. per engine hr. & 1/2 gal. per gen. hr. This was very close when guessing how much fuel would need to be added. However at 3,000 rpm's you are burning around 1 gal. / hr. perhaps more.
