I was looking at the new $2,100 diesel fuel "cleaning" system at the boat store the other day and was wondering if anyone has used one of these. Basically it is a large fuel filter and pump with some automatic controls. It seems that this type of unit could be built for about $100 with a fuel filter and electric fuel pump. I under stand that diesel has less problems with sludge and bacteria if it is circulated once in a while. With a circulating pump and filter set to run once in a while, it seems that alot of fuel issues could be prevented. Has anyone set up something like this or am I way of base.
