I'm looking to replace the faucet on my O'Day 222, it's made by Fun Spray. I found one recently but it's a larger diameter than the one I'm replacing. Does anyone know where I could get good replacement? I'm assuming it's part of the standard equipment. I'd love to find a new version of the original. I'm also looking for the 5 gallon water tank.

Tanks and facuets -

Lee - The stock answer is - call Rudy Nickerson at D and R Marine, the number's in the archives.The longer answer is - if you take the dimmensions of the tank and the facuet to your local marine store you are likely to find something similar. Boat parts come and go, so you may not find the say Fyn Spray, but you'll find something that will work. Boats aren't like cars in that over the course of a production run, lots of different parts may have been used, and lots of parts available off the shelf will work as replacements.Good luck -Justin - O'day Owner's Web

Fynspray faucet

Lee, I rebuilt the Fynspray faucet at the galley sink on my 272 a couple of years ago. I bought the parts at WM. If it is rebuildable, that is the economical way to go. The kit lists currently for $5.49. It contains some packing and O-rings. As I recall, I disconnected the faucet, removed it and cleaned everything before reassembling, but I could have done the repacking with the faucet in place. I used the same kit to rebuild the faucet at the vanity. Not a major task provided the faucet pump handle is not worn or kinked.Tom

New Fynspray

Lee,The fynspray on my O'day 25 is broken beyond repair and needs replacing. West Marine has the exact new replacement pump for approx. $50.00. I believe that other marine suppliers like Boat U.S. carry them as well. (FYI- Fynspray pumps are manufactured by "White Star Products Ltd. of New Zealand" if you want to try looking them up on the web).Good luck!Rick

Water Tank

I recently installed a flexible "bag" type water tank under the V berth in my 23' O'Day. It has worked fine, although a little difficult to fill with no through hull fitting (yet!). I got the water tank/bag from Boat US.

faucet for 222

I replaced the faucet in my 222 this year. I purchased a pump faucet at Boat US (about $35-$40 if I recall). The model was Fynspray and the producer was White Star. It works fine and thus far I have had no problems.
