I have found a small leak on the port side of the front window/port of my 23.5. I noticed that there is a black caulk of some sort around the window. My thoughts are to dig it out in the vicinity of the leak and re caulk. What should I use to re caulk? 3M makes 5200 in black. Has anyone else had a similar problem? If so How did you solve the leaking window problem. Thanks Jonathan Costello Heeling Powers

Not 5200...

...unless you want to make it permanent. If it leaks again, you will have a heck of a time removing the old stuff. LifeCaulk comes in black. I'm sure other will have their own recommendations, also.

What Hunter sent

When I replaced a fixed port, Hunter Parts Department sold me Dow Corning RTV Sealant, #739. Looks just the original black sealer and worked great. It is probably available at your local H/D. Remember to use masking tape on surrounding surfaces because it can cause a mess on other surfaces before it cures. Good luck.

Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure

is great for small leaks. Worth trying before tearing out the whole port.

Dow 795

Hunter directed me to purchase Dow 795 as we replaced a window last week. I checked Dows website and found a local dealer. Hunter says it's the best-thins out and smooths down with rubbing alcohol. Don't recommend 3M. Kirk
