We seem to have managed to get the air cooled Frigoboat refrigeration on our Beneteau 323 working again. Judicious use of a hair drier on the capillary tube got it operational (thank you Coastal Climate for that tip). I had to repeat that once more after 3 successful weeks and I have now installed the Frigoboat pre-charged filter drier. The plate is completely covered in frost and everything seems to be working. Should I be thinking of replacing the evaporator plate as well or should this fix be adequate? When the system works, it's great but our family has now become addicted to refrigeration and it will be hard to go back to ice box management. Thanks.

Take the easy way out and wait and see. Sounds like a bit of moisture in the capilliary which would not affect the evap. and the filter drier has most likely removed.
