Freshwater port...

Recently we purchased a 1984 Hunter 31 and so far we love it! But at the moment I am having trouble finding the port for the freshwater tank. Either I've gone blind, or Hunter is really good at hiding it. There are only two ports on my deck, head pumpout and diesel. The head holding tank is under the V berth and the port is on the deck, midway on the starboard side. My diesel port is on the deck, starboard side, by the cockpit and the tank is in the lazarette. The freshwater tank appears to be under the quarter-berth. Is the freshwater port in the lazarette? One of the cockpit boxes? Do I attach a hose to the freshwater connection in the cockpit and then re-direct the water to the tank by adjusting a valve in the lazarette? Thanks in advance... Joe s/v Charis

Stern

Check under the wood step on the stern you should find the fresh water fill and the emergency tiller opening

Thanks...

Thanks Frank. I remember checking there at one point, but I was inspecting the emergency tiller. At the time I did not have 'freshwater port' on my mind. I'll give it another look...

Congrats

Congratulations on the h31. I bought my 1983 h31 last year. Love the boat. Easy to handle single handed but room for company. By the way the water fill on my 83 is in the stern lazarette on the starboard side. Chuck S/V Kililani
