I have a 1978 Cherubini 25, and the fresh water tank leaks. Is there any easy way to get to the tank and replace, or must the boat be dismantled. I can't see it so thus refer to the many experts. Great boat.

Any updates on how to pull the fresh water tank bladder out of the boat and to make leakage repairs from anyone would be welcomed!!??

Fresh water
Took the uncleanable bladder out and installed a 9 gallon hard tank with electric pump. No big deal. Made a skid out of white oak, strapped the tank on with nyloin strapping, attached the whole mess to the hull interior with 1/8 aluminium straps and drill point stainless screws. Installed an electric pump and fawcett....... no more pump and splash. All parts from J.C. Whitney, under 50 bucks total. Hope you find this helpful. regards, Jim

9 gallons is kinda small...
I suspect you can find a bigger one in the Ronco Plastics catalog that'll fit the space...they have more than 400 different shapes and sizes, including over 100 that are non-rectangular.

Skip, the 15 gal water bladder is located under the deck of the cockpit. do you have the owners manual with drawings? See attached photo.

...until you have checked the starboard cockpit locker for removable access panel. Should be aft of the fill port. Regards, Jim

Skip, please let us know how it goes with cutting an access hole. I have the same boat, same problem. I found a replacement bladder bag at Vetus.com, but I'm holding off until this Fall to replace the original. The aft vertical surface of my starboard cockpit locker has a small U-shaped cutout, but it is not quite big enough... Have you tried to access under the cockpit by removing the aft port bulkhead (at the aft end of the port quarter-berth/settee? I was going to try going in that way...

Another H25, '82 model in a slip near mine, has a home-made access panel made in the locker just aft of the tank filler plug. It was cut and then had the same piece used as a door to the tank. Possible access thru cabin
Skip, I examined my H25 last week (7/10/03), and it looks very likely that the best way to get to that bladder tank is by removing the aft bulkhead inside the cabin at the aft end of the port settee. I'll let you know in a few days whether that works out for me...
