The fresh water pump on my 1990 Hunter 30g recently decided to stop working. Has anyone had the pleasure of replacing their's? I am formulating a game plan prior to the start of any disassembly. Any suggestions on brand of pump and disassembly would be appreciated. As always, thanks for the input!

Then it's pretty straightforward. Disconnect the two long bolts at the smaller fan belt. Open up the six set screws on the plate. Likely the impeller needs replacing, not the entire pump. Be sure to put some glycerene on the tips as you reload.

Take the make and numbers right off the old pump. It's an easy connection (on my boat) to install a new one - or maybe to fix an old one.

tank access
Another question. Is there a way to access the tank? Also, is there a shut off valve at the water tank to prevent flow while changing out the pump? Thanks for the advice Paul!
