On my 1980 H30 the aluminum water tank was under the port settee berth and the fresh water pump was under the quarter berth behind the electrical panel. The water heater was in the starboard cockpit lazarette.
If possible, just run some water and you will hear the pump running - just follow your ears!
Had incorrectly posted the info for the h27. The owners manual wiring diagrams for the h30 shows the water heater on the starboard cockpit aft of the ice box and the water pump on the port side close to the breaker panel. The plumbing diagram shows the water tank under the port side cabin setee. On 30 year old boats it is not uncommon to find that POs may have changed some things around.
On my 83 H30 there is a small locker under the starboard lazzarette. I'm not sure if this is original from the factory, but it looks like it might be. Empty the lazzarette, and you'll see a panel that lifts out.
