Hi.
Had a great sail a week ago on L Derg, an Irish Lake.
Lots of motor boats around but they kept well clear.

It has taken me a long time to learn that you reef the main hard on a Vega and keep the full headsail out (if possible) when going to windward...

In flat water with a good 25 knots of wind we went to windward like a train with two reefs in the main and full genoa.

Hi Frank, a lot of motor boats (in Ireland at least) leave their
fenders out all the time. Gives us yachties something to tease them
about. :)
