I have a 2003 Beneteau 411 Celebration. I noticed over the last few days a small amount off fresh water lying in the bildge. The water is mainly lying on the side of the bildge bowl, where the drain pipes come out on each side of the bildge bowl, 1 to port and 1 to starboard. The water seems to be coming from under the pipes and not through them. We are only talking a small amount of water like a 1/4 cup full. I have checked for leaks at both water tanks and all pipe work but cannot find any dampness? The water pump does not re-pressure itself so I figure its got to be before the pump? Any ideas anyone please..

A/C unit condensate, deck fitting leaks, port and hatch leaks. There is a tendency for the overhead liner to divert leaks to the hull thwart and then down to the bilge. I had a leak from a broken jib track end fitting.

A quarter cup is not likely to cause the water pressure accumulator to trigger the pressure pump, so keep checking water fittings, including the hot water heater.

No AC unit on board. Have already checked all deck fittings including stantions. I got a friend to drench the deck with water to check if it was a leak from above but nothing. Have already checked hot water tank again no leaks. I have just finished checking the water fittings after the pressure accumulator again no leaks....

I have the same boat and similar problem a year ago, I found I had not checked the shower fittings at the back of the boat. Bad seal in shower head and spraying water as stop cock not turned fully off.....

Checked shower head at back of boat and its fine. We might have found the problem. I checked the shower head in the fwd heads and found that when you run the water there was a leak between the shower head and the connecting pipe. I have now put thread tape on and this has stopped the leak. As we are staying on the boat for another 10days or so I will see if this is the fresh water problem in the bildge. Will let you know what I find within the next couple of days. Thanks to all for your replies.

Just to let everyone know that we no longer have fresh water in the bildge. The problem was the shower head in the forward heads. It was leaking only under pressure, when the tap was turned on. See my last post for the fix. Thanks again to all for their advise.

I glad this thread is here! Just spent some quality time on my B393 today and have the same problem.
Cleaned the bilge first of all! All dry. Then was checking pumps and plumbing and started to get fresh water in. Just a little. Couldn't see where from but was running the starboard shower head and pumps etc. will have to go back later and check my fittings.
On a side note, how do I get water out from under the starboard side head? When I took the floorboard off that covers the round edge around the head, there is water under it that does not drain to the bilge. See pics! Any ideas? -BCD

I shoved a small camera through one of the limber holes in the hull bracing. All those egg-carton liner braces interconnect. If there is a way for water to get into a section it will eventually find its way somewhere else. Takes forever to get a few gallons emptied out of the shallow bilge on my 343. I switch on the bilge until I hear it sucking then shut it off. Do it about 7 or 8 times to get most of it out. Only way I have gotten completly dry was to pull up all the flooring and vacuum it all out then sponge it off. Trouble is during the winter the floor boards swell such that they wont come out. I am considering removing them this winter and storing. Throw some temporary boards in to get around the cabin.
Water eventually collects in front of the stove and seeps up on top of the floor when heeled. Then when I tack it runs across the cabin. Makes a big mess, so I keep a towel rolled up in front of the stove.
I tightened up all the hose clamps on the freshwater lines and cured most of the inleakage, but I have a solenoid valve on the freshwater to the electric head, that is 3/4 npt. The freshwater supply hose has a 3/8" npt. Several bushings and a tee get the water to the head sink and to the head. Can't seem to stop all of the leaks there. I should replumb the whole works, just hate working in tight places left handed.

And to think, I almost bought a 343! ;-)

If your 343 is like my 323, the hoses are not the same size as the barbs. One's metric and the other inches? Beneteau seems to use "close enough" components, then caulk the difference. I'll change my hoses when I can $$$.
