I have a M25XP on my boat and have been toying with the idea of making serpentine pulleys for it over this winter. The weather has been incredible and put a quick end to a marginal ski season. Back to work.
Has anyone ever had to change their coolant/water pump. On my boat it sits directly behind the face of the settee door. I had a bear of a time removing the pulley and installing the new one. I had to remove the teak door trim and cut a radius with a Dremel tool in the fiberglass. I dread the day I have to change the pump or the impeller inside it. I can't imagine having to remove the propeller shaft to raise the engine off her mounts just to get at it.
They sure don't make things easy do they! I hope these things are more reliable than the fuel pump I replaced last season.
