There's always plenty of reasons for water coming into a boat - enough said there. Now, if the water you talk about is in fact coming from the stern there are a couple of things to check out. If the leak has been around for some time, you may find some "evidence" of its source. On my H386, I had similar problems and found the leak was caused by water gathering along the hull's rub rail (was not caulked), running aft to its lowest spot until it found a place to enter the boat. In my case, this was at the butt joint on the transom. When the hull and top were fitted together they left a caulk gap at the transom which allowed water funneling along the rub rail to enter at this gap in the two halves of the boat. When I found the green slime on the inside of the transom I knew that area was getting damp. I had another person run a hose on the rub rail and sure enough water was soon dripping inside the transom where the hull and top were joined and runnng downhill and forward into the bilge. It's tough finding leaks, but this may be your solution too. Clean up the slime, caulk on the inside and then caulk the rub rail to keep rainwater from gathering inside the rub rail. It doesn't take but a small gap in the hull - top joint for water to find itself inside the boat. Good luck.
