Fresh Water Capacity?

I have a 1992 H-27. Does anyone know the fresh water tank capacity? I contacted the factory and, apparently, this is one of those statistics that got lost along the way. They told me the holding tank capacity is 11 gallons, but did not have the fresh water tank amount. I can fill it up while measuring the amount, but hope someone has already done this. Thanks, John

20 gallon according to documentation

The dealer who sold the boat back in 1993 said it had 20 gallon fresh water. At least that is what my papers say. This isn't from Hunter, just their dealer so I can't be sure. It seem about right though when I filled mine up. The hose ran longer than it would normally take to fill 10-12 gallon Ward

between 20 and 30 gallons

John, I seems like I read that it's 30 gallons but if the other writer says 20 that seems plausible. The first writer must have been talking about the older model 27s because there is no aluminum tank in the 89-94 year models -- it's a fiberglas built-in. By the way a suggestion for "purer" fresh water in your tank: our marina's water comes froma well and goes to a cistern which doesn't necessarily mean its potable. I went to Walmart and got a filter that screws on the hose to filter our impurities ... it's really for RV users but seems perfect for a marine application. Now I don't worry about drinking what we take in for fresh water needs. The filter at Walmart is about $17 and should last at least all of this season.

John The tank size will hold 35 gallons however Hunter placed the fill hose and the vent hose about 8 inches from the top of the tank therefore you so not get full use of the tank. The fiberglass tank in my boat will hold about 27 gallons if I remember right. I will measure it next time I go down to the boat if you want me to. I put an access door into that area and replaced the plywood top with clear lexan so I can see into the tank and get to the bottom of it. If you wish more info on the boat send an email to jcal@cox-internet.com and I will provide what I have. Rebuilt my boat from stem to stern literally. Jim 1990 H-27
