Freezer/Frig Problems

Is anyone out there having difficulty with the freezer on their Beneteau? I have a 411, year 2000. The freezer has had a huge amount of ice build up to the extent that we cannot close the lid. Beneteau had a recall on the gasket and sent new gaskets but they did little or nothing to solve the problem. Anyone?

We had the same problem on our brand new boat - frist step we put in a Wireless Temperature Monitor to check the temperature in the freeze. As it was always to high we checked the door. Although the wood panel door was closed firm there was this 1 inch what opened the fridge door just a little bit when we closed the wooden panel door. Now we adjusted the doors and our fridge is working the way it should

Thanks very much. I'll check the fit on the frig door when I go down to the boat again this week.

Dollar bill...

is used to check gasket... put the bill on the gasket and close the door. It should be a little tuff to pull the bill thru the gasket.
Also try using chalk on ONE side, close and open, the open parts will not transfer chalk to the other side.

Thanks, Mark, I will try this. Beneteau had a recall on the gasket (which I don't think they told anyone about) and they sent the new gasket to the yard but of course they didn't pay the labor. I'll give this a shot because for what the yard charged me, the gasket should be tight as all heck. Thanks again.
