Loking for advice on finding replacement for the frameless plexi/lexan hatchthat has good deal of crazing but still functional. The difficulty lies in the fact that although made of easily obtainable material it is curved and that presents a difficulty. Anyone with info or experience? GK

Hatch replacement

Greetings, I replaced the small hatch over the main cabin on my 37. I took the original to a glass place in town which does plastic, and they did a good job of reproducing the curve. They gave up trying to do it in palycarbonate, and used plexiglas instead, which is evidently what the original hatch material was. Incidentally, the plastic people tell me that the plastic used in windows and hatches are good for about ten years. Up here in the Northwet, they seem to go for about twenty, but they're in pretty bad shape by then. Custom glass(plastic) is not cheap. You might try the factory for this part for price comparison. I think the same hatch was used on several models. Regards, Bob

Re greetings

Thanks for the info. I am trying both the factory and a local shop. George
