Hello,

Does anybody know the actual percentage of the fractional rig on the Hunter 260? Our local club is requiring it to re-issue a new PHRF certificate. I assume it is around 80%-85% but I need the actual number. I have searched the site and the internet but have struck out.

Thanks in advance,

Denis

Would be strange if it were not 7/8ths, so .875

older boats were 3/4
from the 80s and 90s into the 2000s design, 7/8ths
New boats mostly 9/10s

I always thought that the actual number was the ratio of the mast height where the forestay is attached to the total height of the mast. If that is the case a tape measure should solve the problem.
Could it be that simple??

Bob,

I was also under that impression but could not find anything to verify it. Unfortunately I am away from the boat so I will have to wait until this week-end to take the measurments.

Thanks for all the responses.

Denis
