Forward hatch leaks

In heavy seas, I have found it impossible to seal the forward hatch on my Vision 32. A wonderful hull-speed-plus day is often tainted by wave after wave entering through the hatch. I have screwed the thumbscrews to the point of bending the tabs to no avail. Any ideas?

Gasket

I think your hatch needs a new gasket - at worst, you may need a whole new hatch, although I would try removing and rebedding it before buying a new one. There are several places that water could be leaking in, including the area around the outside of the hatch. To be safe, get a new gasket, and also remove and rebed the hatch itself. That should do the job, unless somehow it has been badly bent. MC
