Forward Hatch Leak

I have a very slight leak in my forward hatch that appears to be coming from the hinges. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you use to fix it? Would just taking the hatch apart, cleaning it off and applying a light application of silicon do the trick?

I had the same problem. They make a rebuild kit for the hinge. IIRC it came with new gaskets, O rings and sealant. It was under $20 at the boat show last year. Sorry I don't know where you can get one. Maybes CD or Defender?

I had pretty much the same issue. I cleaned the seal of all dirt, real real well and then applied Armor All to the seal to treat/soften it up a bit. Did the same to the O-Rings in the latch handle. All drips stopped. It's worth try.

Every year or two I clean all of the gaskets and apply a silicon cream that I got from a Honda dealer. They use it to prevent leaks and squeaks in sun roofs. Works very well.
