A few months ago Warren Millberg warned those of us who put snap-on cable covers on our shrouds to use covers a size too big, so it won't trap moisture and also so they'll rotate with the foresail. I'm slow to respond; I raised mine yesterday to check the shroud tensions and found the wires coated with yucky green stuff. They came off immediately. Mac
