I own a ODay 28. Wonderful boat. My experience with roller furlers is limited. I know how operate the furler, but don't know how to adjust the forestay tension (not for sail adjustment, but for standing rig set up). With just the smallest amount of wind, I have a sagiing "loose" forestay. It is driving me nuts. How do I make this adjustment? The boat does not have a backstay adjuster.

Do you know the brand of furler? Inside the cruising design furlers you will find a turnbuckle that can be tightened. It is also possible that who ever did the installation chose not to fit the extrusions fit exactly and left you with an
extrusions longer than necessary. I'm not up on the other brands of furler.

Sorry, but it took a while to get to the boat. The furling sysytems is a Furlex System.
I do know that there is a "standard" forestay inside the furler drum and aluminum sail channel, but how do I get to the adjusting turn buckle?
