Ahoy,
I am pricing out roller furlers and won't drop my mast for another six weeks. Does anyone happen to know the diameter of the forestay on a 1979 Hunter 30. Also, I am strongly considering a ProFurl C290. Any any opinions on this furling unit?
Thanks,
Bob

I know you'd like an answer ASAP...
I won't be at the boat until the Labor day madness subsides, but if you don't get an answer by Tuesday, I'll get my calipers and measure.

Thank you! That would be great, or whenever you can get to it. I plan on hauling out mid October. That is the earliest I can get the calipers on mine. Have a great holiday weekend.

Robert, I apologize.

I was just starting an electrical project when you first posted and ...
It got more complicated over the weekend. And, I'm old!
And I didn't write myself a note. :banghead: Did I mention I'm old?
So, I've written the note.
I'll post tomorrow.
(now, what was it he needed to know?)

All my stays /shrouds are 6mm - 1/4 in.
They were replaced 4 years ago for the second time.
Sorry for the delay.
Good luck with your refit.

Thank you very much for the information. I'm certainly looking forward to a Pro-Furl C290 in place of my unknown (possible original hope it works model) Have a great remainder of the sailing season.
Cheers!
