Looking for opinions on the Forespar Nova Lift. I am considering installing one and would like to know ease of installation and level of satisfaction. Thanks,

Very easy..

I had a Forespar Nova Lift and liked it. The install was quite simple but do measure twice and drill once and use a level to get the base perfectly vertical.. My new boat came with a Garhauer and while a little bigger and slightly more "awkward" looking it really is a better built mouse trap than the Nova Lift. It also comes with better blocks and costs less and can be ordered in two arm lengths.. If I had my druthers, was buying one for another boat, I'd go Garhauer the next time around.

I just showed a dock mate our Garhauer rig

He and his wife own two boats: a 40' powerboat they live on and his restored 30' sailboat. They liked what they saw compared to others, liked the ability to break it down for storage, its heft and strength and blocks, etc., as Maine Sail mentioned, plus its lowest cost of any others around. They decided to buy the longer arm one with two sets of stops and rings, so they have one lift for two boats. Clever! Just seems to me if something's better and costs less...

I'll third the Gerhauer

I looked at all the brands at teh end of last season and teh gerhauer was too good to pass up. I too ordered teh longer arm to reach out pass the swim platform. Teh install instructions were lacking but it is simple to install. Like Maine Sail said, measure twice and drill once.
