Hello out there. I've been searching the Internet for the length of a Genoa halyard that will reach back to the cockpit of a Hunter 466. Anyone know?
okay, great I'll take a look. I've bought a cruising chute and snuffer for my 466 but, it has no halyard set up for it. ThanksTop of the morning to your Scallywagger. There is a calculator here on the site. Input your boat manufacture, model number, and you able to get the company estimate.
I guesstimate about 149ft should give you enough line to make a run up and down your mast and back to the cockpit.
You can by more, which would give you a surplus to use on other projects like fenders and such, or you can buy less which means you might not have enough to reach all the way to the cockpit and have to work at the mast during those North Sea storms.
Or you can trust the calculator to give you that Goldilocks, Ahhhh. Just right, number.
