Foresail Cover sizing

In accordance with the latest Admiralty Decree, I`m researching and purchasing a cover bag for our jib. This new boat has 3 jibs, we are currently learning the midsized one (and learning car locations and winches). The largest of the three I estimate will extend 3` M/L behind the mast.
The store on this site indicates 2 size storage bags, 36" on the forestay,46". Does anyone think I need the large bag, or get by with smaller, for this 23` boat. Time is of the essence... The Admiral is standing by, arms folded, tapping her foot.

I would call the store and ask what they recommend.... but for a 22 ft boat I would imagine the smaller one will be sufficient.

I have someone who makes all my sunbrella items for me... she made special winch covers for me at a great price.... my winch's are smaller than the standard ... she also made rope pockets for in my cockpit.. she is now making me a jib cover... I have a furler and it will keep it dry and safe... her name is Linda ...

I forget . . . you trailering? You might be better served by picking up or fabbing a roller furler. You probably recall that we have one and trailer all the time, so it's doable. I know the price difference can be significant but if you cruised the used boat parts crowd, you might find a used furler for a song. They are very convenient and if that in itself will keep Anne out longer of get her out more often, there's the battle won.

That`s on the wish list, just not on budget this year.Currently there`s not a battle, she`s still as gung ho as I am, but she asked about a cover...To my ears It was "There will be a cover", safest policy for me to follow.

This weekend . I`m meeting with a local lady (from Kingsville, Rob) who does sunbrella and canvas work. We will meet at the boat, hang the genny on and take measurements.

My foresail gets flaked and then folded into a compact package of about eight cubic feet. That is 2x3 feet and a foot and a half wide wide.
