I have a LP Force 10, 2 burner stove with oven and broiler. There are 4 separate valves and termocouples. One for each eye, oven and broiler. All 4 valves or thermocouples appear to have failed at the same time! Each will light easily by pressing the knob in and turning to the high position. When the knob is released the flame goes out. It makes no difference how long the eye is lit. The flame is good. I talked to Force 10 and they said that either all 4 valves or thermocouples have failed at the same time!!! Any ideas as to why?

Something to try

Had the same problem with the same stove. The owner's manual has a pretty detailed section on how to service the stove. If you don't have one, they'll email it to you for free. Given the problem you have, you should try cleaning the thermocouples before you start replacing things. These are the ball point pin looking things with a little round ball on the end that are located so they are in the flame when the stove is lit. (Don't confuse these with the lighting mechanism.) When working properly, they sense the flame and tell the valve to stay open. When not working, fouled, or slightly corroded, they shut off the valve. Use some fine sandpaper for metal, steel wool, or a small wire brush, and really polish the things up. You don't even have to remove them. Mine worked fine after this.
