Just got back from the above convention. My wife and I had a great time and meet some wonderful pocket cruisers. I conducted a shortened sail trim seminar of about 35 minutes with a Q&A of about 25 minutes. Since we were there for about 4 days the Q&A went on forever. I was available to all the sailors because I had a table set up in the vendors area and the sail trim questions were non stop. Over 165 sailors attented the seminar. It was an overflow situations with folks sitting on the floor.

Before I left for the convention I was checking around my attic for my seminar stuff and I found a whole bunch of sailing gear I didn't know I had. I sold a lot of it at the convention - boom vangs, anchor line, cunninghams, sailing gloves etc.

I was too busy talking sail trim to concentrate on selling stuff because I was there for sail trim and not a swop meet.

Here's some of the stuff I have left:

WEST MARINE FOUL WEATHER JACKET AND BIB PANTS: It is size large and red. It was only worn twice and is in excellent, brand new condition. I wore it once in San Fran and once during a moonsoon in Tucson. The Tucson neighbors laughed so hard when they saw me with the jacket, pants and boots on that I went inside and took them off. I think it is a Third Reef model but the WM in Havasu couldn't tell. All it says on the front is West Marine. According to WM the price new for the set would be around $200 to $225. WM thinks a price of $110.00 would be reasonable.

TALL CRUISING OR YACHTING BOOTS: I don't know what they are called. I call them foul weather boots. The boots are yellow in color and size 8, what ever that means. I wear a size 10 shoe and these boots fit me. There wasn't much use for them in So Ca and I wore them only twice. They did get a little muddy during the moonsoon!! They are 15 1/2" high and have a draw string on the top. WM said the price new would be about $60.00 and a selling price of $15.00 would be reasonable.

The way it would work is that shipping and packaging would be extra. The packaging would be next to nothing. If anyone is interested they should sendt me their addres and I'll advise them of the shipping/packaging cost.

More interesting sailing stuff to follow in the next message.

sinnettc: Yes, there are two more items. They are West marine (Suspenders) manual and automatic inflatable offshore life vest. One was my wife, which she never wore. She thought they should only be worn when it was rough (she would never go out on rough days) even though I told her you can be just as dead on a calm day. The other is mine. They both fit chest size 30" to 52" and both are in excellent condition. According to West Marine in Lake Havasu, AZ the West Marine NON AUTOMATIC comparable sells for $89 and mine are automatic. They didn't have a comparable automatic. Anyway, I'm selling both for $80 plus shipping.
