Hi Mary, I saw your post on Facebook. I hope you will update your Cherubini friends here. Just a short delay in your planned cruise I guess.

Cruising Plans Have Changed

Hi Mary, I saw your post on Facebook. I hope you will update your Cherubini friends here. Just a short delay in your planned cruise I guess.
o.k. Ed, we have been working on our boat for months getting it ready for cruising to Chesapeake. Planned on leaving today and being gone 10-12 months. Two nights ago Bill was having chest pain, dizziness, etc., so I drove him to hospital since it is only 5 min away (nurse said I should have called 911). Anyway, Bill has congestive heart failure. Dr bluntly said if we had been anchored out, Bill would have died. Bill is still in hospital and willl have a defibrillator put in on Thur if his arteries are clear enough. If not, they will put a stint in and then a defibrillator later in a few weeks. Bill was planning on changing the engine oil yesterday and we would have been good to go. Now, it is unpack the boat, frig, freezer, etc. for now and hope we can go cruising in a few months.

Mary:

Give Bill our best for a speedy recovery. Once he gets on the mend you can restart your sailing adventure plans. It is hard to keep a good man down.

Best wishes to Bill

Have a speedy recovery! Life has a habit of throwing us a curve now and then, but just remember that a sailor's best course is always curved (rhumb line that is!) Hope you are feeling better soon Bill, so you and Mary can get back on course.
