Folding steering wheel

Has any one installed Lewmar's folding wheel? Looking to get a little more room in the cockpit. '87 H34

Yes and absolutely love it. We had the big 42" wheel on ours and it is a real pain to get around, especially with more than two people on board.

I to installed one this year.....we like it.....please remember to screw it into place fully..... You don't want the wings loose in any kind of weather...... Another thing ... We did it for the convenience of room.... We replaced a 42 inch wheel with a 42 inch folding wheel.... I kind of wish I would have taken the opportunity to maybe buy a smaller folding wheel lets say a 40 inch or 38 just to have a little more room around the cockpit while the wings are fully out......

I think we will go for a smaller wheel than we have ti create even more room.

We did the 40. Just a little smaller and can still lean back and steer with my toes

We went from a 36" wheel to a larger 40" folding wheel... It's awesome, a must have.

Folding wheel

I replaced my 36" Edson wheel with a Lewmar 36" and love it. The
only issue was the Autopilot spoke clamps had to be changed. The
spokes on the Edson wheel are a smaller diameter than the Lewmar.

I replaced mine with the Lewmar folder. Glad i did it.

Bigger

So much better with a bigger folding wheel when sailing or motoring the bigger wheel is easy for steering and folds out of the way when not needed.
