I have an 01, 310 with a two blade fixed prop. I have read previous posts on folding props, feathering props etc. but still not much wiser. Defender has the Martec two blade folding prop on sale.
Can anybody tell me what size I need. Previous posts suggest 15 x 11.

I have a Gori two blade folding prop on my 2001. I can look the info up in my records but they told me what to buy. I have to say I don't really understand why but it improved my ability to back out of my dock besides the obvious benefit of sailing a bit faster.

The fixed two blade that came with the boat is 15 x 10. So the question is should I go for a 15 x 11 for a little extra "bite" with the folding prop or get the same pitch as the old?

Prop makers will tell you what size you need. They all have programs to calculate based on boat weight, engine, transmission ratio an maybe LWL, beam

Thank you. Martec recommend a 15 x 12 for our boat. Fingers crossed I can get it on, and motoring performance is not adversely effected. At least I can expect a little improvement in sail "speed".
